Society refers to groups of individuals who are inter-dependent on one another for their existence. As a social animal, man is incomplete without the support of others and so society comes to play a major role in every walk of life. Society lays down an unwritten code of conduct and a pattern of hierarchy of relationships within which individuals learn, live and have opportunities to grow and develop as human beings. The internet and developments in technology has let people come closer together. With technology providing the means of keeping in touch people have overcome distances to a great deal. Society also lays down the cultural, social and religious basis for individuals and it is these factors that bind varied individuals to a common cause. Society on a micro level is formed with people having common interests, goals and ambitions. A body of individuals, society is what makes an individual complete. |
