Law refers to the set of rules which lays down the code of conduct to be followed. The aim of laying down such stringent rules is for the protection of individuals and property. The law of the land is formulated by the legislators and enforced by the law enforcing body or the police. Law may be classified into various categories depending on what they pertain to. Law may be broadly divided into two sub-categories namely, the public law and the private law. Public law encompasses within itself broader issues like the constitutional rights and criminal law, whereas on the other hand the private law deals with micro issues like property law. Every system whether a nation, an institution or a small enterprise needs to be regulated by law. Law lays down the boundaries within which the people can operate legitimately. Law making and law enforcing is carried out by specialized agencies who are entrusted with the power for the same. |
