Agents or real estate agents are the middlemen who bridge the gap between the buyer and seller. The main area of activity for an agent is that of arranging buying, selling and renting and playing the role of the mediator to seal the deal. With buildings, homes, land and commercial property being their forte, an agent’s income or commission is generally based on the amount of the property or other pre-decided rate. A real estate agent or broker needs to have a license so as to function commercially and accept remuneration for his services. Real estate agents may function on behalf of the buyer or the seller. On the other hand, while working on behalf of the seller, the agent tries to get the maximum or the highest price for the property. An agent simplifies and makes easy the task of the buyer or seller and assists them in getting a good deal.
